The applet may take some time at first because there is a lot going on - Why?

There are several packages to download:
• Java 1.2 Version 3 Runtime Plug-in from Sun: 5.2 Meg. download,
  This requires a manual installation.
  The install occurs once. After you install the plug-in you will not need to do it again... Unless Sun updates the plug-in.
• The Apache Group's XERCES XML/JAVA package 1.5 Meg.
• American Coders' OBOEApplet jar package .5 Meg

As soon as all the packages are downloaded the OBOE Editor will be functioning.
At first the applet will be in read-only mode. If you choose to open a new X12 840 document or EDIFACT ORDERS document you will be able to create new data. Unfortunately you won't be able to save the document nor transmit it.
